JPeDNet - Japan Pediatric Society Drug Development Network

Type The Japan Pediatric Society (JPS) is an independent public interest incorporated association. JPS is an organization of Japanese pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Japan Pediatric Society established the Japan Pediatric Society Drug Development Network (JPeDNet) and act to accelerate pediatric trials with high quality standards. JPeDNet introduces pediatric trial sites with systems in place for rapid and efficient start-up, conduct and closeout of clinical trials. JPeDNet also offers advice on conduct of clinical trials on specific disease conditions and facilitates the conduct of pediatric clinical trials in Japan. The network activity was originally funded by the grant from the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development from 2017 to 2019 and is currently funded by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/seisakunitsuite/bunya/00001115940_00010.html). JPeDNet collaborates closely with the Pediatric Clinical Trial Network (PTCN), Japan that is a network to conduct clinical trials and consists of 55 hospitals (https://pctn-portal.ctdms.ncchd.go.jp).
