| Type | Disease specific European network ECFS-CTN aims to intensify clinical research in cystic fibrosis (CF) and to bring new medicines to people with CF as quickly as possible. This is achieved by: • Sharing expertise among edicated CF researchers • Close collaboration with patient organizations • Centralizing review of clinical trial protocols for academic and commercial sponsors • Supporting study conduct in member sites • Standardizing research procedures and trial outcome measures • Training site staff • Improving and maintaining site capacity to conduct trials (infrastructure and staff) • Faciliate and encourage investigator-initiated trials • Participate in collaboratif projects to improve the clinical trial landscape in Europe, and thereby improve clinical research in CF. |
